About Hearthstone

My name is Cameron Donley, and Hearthstone is my counseling practice.

I started Hearthstone Counseling to create a space where people can slow down, explore their inner lives, and reconnect with parts of themselves that may have been forgotten, hidden, or left behind. My practice is currently entirely telehealth (based in Portland, Oregon) and I offer psychotherapy that honors the unique experiences, challenges, and strengths of each person I work with.

My approach is rooted in Jungian and depth psychology. This perspective recognizes that our lives are shaped not only by what we consciously know about ourselves, but also by aspects of our experience that exist outside of awareness. Over time, relationships, expectations, trauma, and life circumstances can lead us to suppress important parts of who we are. When this happens, we may feel anxious, disconnected, uncertain, depressed, or as though something essential is missing.

Therapy can provide us with an opportunity to listen more deeply. Together, we explore the parts of yourself that are seeking expression, healing, and integration. As these lost or neglected aspects are reclaimed, it becomes possible to feel more whole, grounded, and at home within yourself.

The name Hearthstone reflects this process. Traditionally, the hearthstone formed the foundation of the hearth—the warm center of a home where people gathered, rested, and found nourishment. I see therapy in a similar way: a place to return to yourself, to tend the fire of your authentic growth, and to build a stronger foundation for the life you want to live.
